Booth is a photobooth finder app I’m designing and building on my own. Analog photobooths are back, but they’re scattered and hard to track down. Booth puts them on a map, lets you save your favorites, and gives the strips you shoot a private library to live in.
Analog, in a digital world
Photobooths are having a resurgence. In a feed full of disposable images, a printed strip is tangible, a little imperfect, and yours. People seek them out at bars, arcades, malls, and events, and the strip usually ends up on a fridge or a mirror. The ritual is the point, and it is exactly the kind of small, real-world delight I like designing around.
Easy to love, hard to find
The catch is finding one. Booths appear and disappear, live in places you would never think to check, and rarely show up reliably in a map search. You usually only remember you want a strip when you are already out, with no easy way to know where the nearest booth is, or whether it still exists.
How might we make finding, remembering, and collecting photobooths as effortless as taking the picture?
A map-led home for booths
Booth treats photobooths like destinations worth seeking out. The core is a map of booths near you, built to be glanceable the moment the urge strikes. Onboarding is phone-first and quick, so you can go from opening the app to standing in front of a booth without friction, and everything after that is designed to reward showing up in person.

Every strip you shoot has somewhere to go. Log the strips from each booth in a private library that is just yours.
Where it’s headed
Booth is still in progress. I am designing the core map and save flows first, then building them out, with the private strip library coming next. The goal is a small, focused app that makes an analog ritual easier to reach.
